I have been struggling to load balance ADFS 2016 with ARR 3.0
I have managed to set it up with Exchange even though no documentation seems to exist for Exchange 2016 in combination with ARR 3.0
Only some older blog posts from the exchange team where there is also mention of ADFS in part 4 of the series.
However, my WAP servers can't get configured over ARR because ARR seems to break the client certificate authentication that happens between WAP and ADFS. The ADFS server doesn't seem to get the a client certificate from the WAP server. In ARR I can see a Failed Request indicating a HTTP 401 Unauthorized.
The ADFS Service FQDN/URL does work via ARR but the configuration/communication of WAP <> ADFS which happens with self-signed client certificates does not.
Is this a supported scenario? Is there more up-to-date information available?
